- WTB TRAIL BOSS TIRE
- WTB TRAIL 27.5 X 2.4 TIRE
- WTB ENDURO & TRAIL TIRE
- WTB E-MOUNTAIN BIKE TIRE
The Trail Boss SG1 builds on perfection with an aggressive tread pattern to match its width. Generous spacing between sizable knobs provides better traction in loose or wet conditions, while staying true to its fleet-footed heritage. Large, supportive side knobs dig deeeeeeep, whether you’re leaning into a corner or grabbing a handful of brake. Most often used as a rear tire, the Trail Boss 2.4 also provides plentiful traction as a front tire on hardpack trails. SG1 puncture protection runs under the tread cap and has extended bead protection.

No-Compromise Tread
Some tires are semi-slick and fast while others are chunky and bite. Trail Boss is designed to be the middleground trail tire. Tight groupings of center knobs cut down on rolling resistance without hesitating to dig in while braking. Tall outer knobs quickly provide traction in the earliest phases of cornering.
Strategically Directional siping
Center and intermediate knobs are siped in a direction that improves accelerating and braking traction by increasing the amount of working edges that bite into the trail when you crank on the pedals or slam on the brakes. Outer knobs feature sipes that run parallel to the tire in order to provide the surface of the knobs with more cornering traction.
Rear-Focused Design
Trail Boss 2.4 features toothy knobs that maximize braking traction while their relatively tight spacing improves improve the longevity of the rear tire by increasing the total surface area counteracting heavy braking forces. Substantial side knobs overhang the sidewall of the tire to protect it from slashes while you're steering with the rear. We suggest pairing the Trail Boss 2.4 with a Vigilante 2.5/2.6 on the front.
TCS Tubeless-Ready
TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is WTB's standardized tubeless system. These tires feature a TCS tubeless-ready casing, which nearly eliminates flats and allows lower tire pressures to improve traction and comfort over a traditional tube-type tire.
SG1 Protection
SG1 puncture protection runs beneath the entire tread cap making the tire more resilient against sharp objects lurking in the dirt. But the fortification does not stop there. With a clear goal of strengthening the most vulnerable areas of a tire, WTB has introduced their new Inner Peace + technology, tripling the height of it’s apex bead protection for SG1. This enhancement not only shields the tire bead from damage, but also significantly bolsters the sidewall structure.
Updated Compounds
After years of development and numerous revisions, WTB has also updated High Grip compounds to not only increase tread longevity, but also improve grip at the same time. Especially in wet conditions. Blue is harder compound and Green is softer compound.
What is Tritec?
TriTec blends three distinct rubber compounds to provide different levels of traction, support and durability based on their placement within the tread. High durometer rubber provides a foundation for the entire tread pattern and even extends slightly into the base of each knob to provide additional support below the softer compounds used in the remainder of each knob. Center knobs feature a medium durometer compound to provide traction and durability without sacrificing rolling efficiency, while outer knobs feature the softest compound for maximum grip and slow rebound characteristics.
TCS Tough Casing
Two full layers of casing span bead-to-bead to ensure every surface of the tire is more resistance to punctures. Using two layers of casing also provides additional sidewall support while cornering and allows riders to experience increased traction by running lower pressures than would be possible with thinner, single-ply casings. TCS Tough tires are the sure bet for aggressive trail, enduro, gravity and e-bike riders who want ultimate peace of mind out on the trail. Some riders may choose to run a TCS Tough tire on the rear while opting for the weight-saving benefits of a single-ply TCS Light tire on the front.
TCS tough fast rolling (TFR)
Long-wearing rubber laid across two full layers of casing leaves no area unprotected. Developed through real testing during the Enduro World series, TCS Tough tires can take some serious abuse.
E50
Tires with an E25 or E50 icon on the sidewall are designed to withstand the additional weight and forces of modern e-bikes. E25 tires are constructed with additional material to not only strengthen the tire and prevent punctures, but also provide additional support throughout the tire. E50 tires meet ECE-R75 standards for the increased load and speeds associated with e-bikes reaching speeds up to 50 kph.
